Firstly, enforced disappearance

The Egyptian regime has consistently practiced this crime against Egyptian citizens whenever it anticipates any movement in the streets, whether this movement calls for support of any local, regional, or international issue. Second: Death Sentences

  • Approximately 1,600 death sentences were issued, and 105 people were executed.

  • The First Terrorism Circuit of the State Security Criminal Court issued its verdict in Case No. 72 of 2021, registered as No. 9 of 2021, New Cairo General Court, known in the media as the “Platform Events,” sentencing 8 detainees to death by hanging
  • The Court of Cassation upheld the death sentences against two detainees in Case No. 85 of 2017, Shebin El-Kom Felonies, known in the media as the “Specialized Committees in Menoufia” case.
  • The Terrorism Circuit of the State Security Court issued death sentences against nine citizens in Case No. 328 of 2022, Supreme State Security Felonies, known in the media as the “Agouza Cell” case.

Third: Recycling

From January 2018 to the end of December 2021, 2,744 recycled cases were documented.

1,456 cases were recorded: 56 before 2018, 82 in 2018, 306 in 2019, 843 in 2020, and one in 2021.

During this period, 1,732 detained men were recycled, along with 32 women and 33 minors.

During that period, 17 journalists, 43 lawyers, 28 doctors, 10 university faculty members, and 178 students were recycled in connection with other cases.

Murder by Medical Negligence

During 2013, 73 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2014, 166 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2015, 185 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2016, 121 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2017, 80 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2018, 36 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2019, 40 people were killed as a result of medical negligence

During 2020, 73 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2021, 40 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

During 2022, 40 people were killed as a result of medical negligence.

Fourth: Women

Thousands of women in Egypt were subjected to physical and psychological torture, cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment while in various detention facilities and during their arrest.

At least 530 female students were dismissed from their university studies, including Omaima Kamel, Narmin Mohamed, Hanan Amin, and two other female faculty members who were dismissed from their jobs.

Decisions were also issued to confiscate the property of at least 100 women, and more than 106 women were prevented from traveling outside the country.
