On Sydney attack, Willem Els (ISS) hasn’t wasted time to raise spectre of “ISIS terrorism” without any credible evidence.
The game of speculation by so-called “terror experts” without consideration for consequences that give rise to anti-Muslim hate crimes, is unfairly rewarded with “respectability” by media platforms.
Feeding a public narrative on myths emanating from an Islamophobic mindset is not analysis. It is propaganda.
Since facts don’t matter it is “acceptable” because fiction remains perfectly aligned with Israel’s Hasbara standards.
If media platforms are able to stomach blatant prejudice framed as “analysis”, does it not reflect disrespect for accuracy?
And if two years of savagery and slaughter of Palestinians failed to arouse Els’ conscience on Israeli terrorism, surely we need to question why?
At the same time we dare not condone the hypocrisy of those who are milking the current tragedy in Australia, for remaining muted on the mass murder of Palestinians.
Jumping on the emotionally driven hysteria by Zionist lobbyists to marginalise Palestinian pain and suffering caused by decades of Zionist terrorism, is neither honest nor objective. It is expediency masked as “analysis”.
Our experience of Islamophobes – especially of the type who justify Israeli-state terrorism – teaches us to be extremely sceptical of their double-standards.
The radicalism they denounce is what they loudly proclaim to be “Islamist”, while unashamedly
embracing apartheid-Israel along with the extremism of Zionist racism that underpins Jewish supremacism, exposes their hollow adherence to human rights.
Indeed if Els is troubled by security threats emanating from his imaginary spooks adorned in ISIS garb, surely the trail of destruction in Gaza that leads to South African mercenaries is a real and bigger scare?
To ignore the recruitment of “lone soldiers” deployed in Netanyahu’s army of war criminals cannot be dismissed as an oversight. It is downright hypocrisy. And deplorable!
Let’s be reminded that in laying out their case, the South African legal team told the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague that Israel had demonstrated a “pattern of genocidal conduct” since launching its full-scale war in Gaza, the 365 square kilometre strip of land it has occupied since 1967.
“This killing is nothing short of destruction of Palestinian life. It is inflicted deliberately, no-one is spared, not even newborn babies,” the court heard.
Does Els not recall the arguments made by Advocate Adila Hassim when she spelled out that Israel’s actions subjected the 2.3 million people of Gaza to an unprecedented level of attacks from the air, land and sea, resulting in the deaths of thousands of civilians and the destruction of homes and essential public infrastructure?
“Gaza bleeds without pause, its people forced to live in tents amid total destruction, now turned into a flood by the rain, while the so-called civilized world stands by, watching and complicit in the crime.”

Jonathan Ofir is correct when he says that there is an enormous amount of conspiracy theories about the Sydney attack on the Chabad Hannukah celebration shooting attack: “The Mossad did it. Netanyahu did it. The shooter was Jewish. The Shooter was in the IDF. Israel was planning a 9/11. Arsen Ostrovsky painted himself (AI generated image of him being painted attached). And so on”.
However he also says that the fact there is a strong Israel connection here is not a conspiracy theory. “… it is a fact – the main organiser, rabbi Eli Schlanger, who was also among the murdered, has himself documented his propaganda for the Israeli military, his fundraisings for it as an ’emissary’, his support for illegal Israeli settlements (war crimes) and implicitly, his support for genocide”.
We now learn that Mossad is taking over Bondi beach attack. The question for Els is one that has been posed by Susan Abulhawa on her X platform:
- “Why is Mossad taking over the investigation of an attack on Australian soil against Australians? Are they afraid Australian authorities will uncover something Israel would like to keep hidden?”
And in case he missed it, Els is reminded that Netanyahu blamed Australia’s recognition of Palestine for the attack.
